Our Story...

Established in 1969,
Chua Hup Huat Sdn. Bhd.

and its stapled brands of coffees and tea have become, over generations, a prominent and household name among the residents in the southern region of Malaysia. In 1979, sensing its competitive edge of locating at a fishing village and the tremendous business potentials in local produce or specialties, CHH branched out to produce Shrimp Paste (aka. Balacan Cake). The Cap Ketam Shrimp Paste too, has since garnered immense accolades and supports among the households in the southern states of Malaysia. All of CHH products are certified Halal (MS 1500:2009).

1969

The establishment of Hup Huat Coffee Powder Factory.  Introduction of Apollo’s products of Coffee and Tea Dusts

1979

The establishment of Syarikat Selat Melaka. Introduction of Cap Ketam, Cap Udang Putih and Cap Beca products of Belacan Cakes.

1990

The establishment of Chua Hup Huat Sdn. Bhd.  The relocating of factory plant to the current address which resulted the plant size and capacity to be increased by 3 folds.

2000

The introduction of individually packed Instant Coffee and Tea mixes (2 in 1 and 3 in 1) under the “Apollo’s flagship to keep abreast with the market trends.

2008

The establishment of Global Packing Enterprise which undertakes the OEMs for other companies and retail brands.  With its unique and uncompromised tastes and fast packing capacity, Global Packing aims at up scaling its current production volume. ( packing can be done with 3 in 1 Instant Coffee & Tea, Instant White Coffee, Instant Milk Tea, Instant Ginseng Coffee, Instant Tongkat Ali Coffee, Instant Coffee Coco/Nestlo and so on so forth).  The inclusions of outsourced/ export oriented goods has brought about a better competitive edge and greater chances of diversifications for the company.

2010

The promotion of both Apollo brands and OEM products.
